Bully advice...

There are these kids at my school who really like to pester me. I know it's summer and I should be forgetting about it, but it's been staying with me all summer so far. They tease me because of my ethnicity, and they say things like, "Don't hang with her. She'll nuke you!" or, "small eyes." I do understand that I have blood from a violent nation, but it just really angers me that they just can't leave me alone about it. I've tried to tell the school staff about it, but it really seems like they aren't giving a darn about it. My parents said that they'll talk to the councilor the first day school is in, but I'm really worried they won't do anything. What should I do? xC

Whatever you do - do not feed the trolls. It applies to the internet, it applies to real life. They enjoy seeing you in pain and when their actions give them the desired result, they will continue.

to be honest, there's not much more you can do besides telling the school and trying to net let them get to you. I like to think about things like this. They say all these things about you, why does their opinion matter? If they choose to say harmful things instead of nice things, do you really care what they think about you? They're not your friends, so why are they important? The only opinion about yourself that matters is the one you have. And you'll always have us to vent about it, remember that. 

also you can swear here without censoring yourself, except the f word. dont even think about that one.

what these kids are doing is racism, and you shouldn't have to put up with it. be happy to be yourself! if you let others try to make you feel bad about being different, remember, different is GOOD! If we were all the same then where would be the fun in life?

^ I second that. Everyone is made differently, everyone has some sort of purpose in life. Perhaps this is life's way of preparing you for a future job where you HAVE to take a lot of criticism, especially from ignorant racists. (Politicians. ex. How many people in the U.S. voted against Obama because he was black and not because they didn't agree with his policies?)

But I slightly digress. Just remember that NOTHING they say could change who you truly are, and that's what really matters. 

And if your parents don't talk to your counselor, do it yourself. There is no shame in directly asking for help, and if you bug them enough, they will give a darn about it.

I'd find it funny that they have nothing better to do. If you're "small eyes" then they're "typical fat American who eats at Denny's every night" x3 (Just saying, that wasn't to offend Americans or saying they're all fat etc, it was for comparison's sake) Anyway, people like this are weak in their own way and likely have insecurities - then try to make others feel insecure as well to soften their own. You can get back at them by staying strong and leaving them be the weak ones, their words mean nothing to you and shouldn't be worth your time or worry whether you know or think they are either right or wrong.

Not only that, however. I always say to like people for /who/ they are instead of /what/ they are. These people are only looking at you. They don't know you. They don't have the right to put an opinion like that on you.

I know we don't know eachother, but having seen you around you seem like an awesome person and anyone who makes fun at your ethnicity simply needs to grow up to their physical age. Hopefully soon they'll learn to get to know someone before they feel they can criticise them in any way
