How useful is furbid?
« on: March 31, 2011, 10:42:46 PM »
Trying to sell some tails and paws, was considering using furbid but I noticed that there are few auctions at any given time and they rarely have bids.

Has anyone here had luck with furbid?  Sold anything?  Or would anyone here know someplace better to sell fursuit bits?  I am planning to finish my website (when time allows) but for now I need the money sooner rather than later.

Suggestions?  Comments?

you could try furaffinity. but they don't have a bidding system. however, if you pay a little bit, I hear they will put an advert of your product for all to see, so that might help.

I'm already planning to do an ad on FA, but that's $100 for 6 months, and I'm still waiting for a response from them.  I want to sell these tails sooner rather than later... And I already have them advertised in my journal on FA for sale, but I doubt I'll get anyone buying them off there.  I wonder if I'd be able to sell them on here?

oooh furbuy, that's one i forgot about.  I'll post a listing there, maybe that'll get them sold lol...

here's a pic of 2 tails i'm trying to sell...

more pics here http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu254/Draekaar/Photos/costuming/

another tail i'm trying to sell is the one with paws in the same pic, reddish.    these two tails need selling.  the fluffier one comes with paws...   this set :)

so think I should make a furbid auction for some of these?

which ones?  the fox tails are $25, paw/tail set is something like 100 (or best offer >.>)
and big eastern dragon tail is i think 60 (OBO)...

and then shipping, which will be more expensive for the big tails cause they don't have zippers...  but like $12 for fox tails.  i have an incomplete husky tail, i should finish that then sell it too.  *makes auction*  how long should i put it for...

ah ok, i want a personalized one, not ordering just seeing how much

http://pikachoo08.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=mikko#/d35oc22
fox tail with 3 colors (brown, orange and white) maybe 18" long and a big fluffy one

Im guessing that it will be around $60

but for time on your auction i would put it down for 2 weeks
cause unless there's people like me that check every few days for new listings, people will miss it
and if they dont sell, you can always re-list them

do you have an FA?  send me a note on there http://www.furaffinity.net/user/draconium

if not, send me an email so I don't spam this board lol... though I think it would be less than $60 before shipping :)  draekaar[at]draekaarillustration.com

I've been pondering the same thing.. I've always wanted to use furbid but I never really see much on there.

Also, those tails are cute! I really like the black and white fox tail and might have to snag it. ;)
