Using rubber gloves for working with foam, good idea. Have to keep that in my head.

The pic you linked seems to be using plastic canvas, but I personally prefer buckram fabric.  Plastic canvas will be carried by any craft store (it's usually near the yarn) but buckram is harder to find.  Some fabric stores carry it, but none local to me, I buy mine on line.

In my country, at least in some of the bigger cities, there is a fabric market held once a week. Usually cheaper and more variety in fabrics there than in the stores.

I had posted it in another thread, but it might be of more use here..

U.K furs in the Greater Machester area (I know there are a lot of you!) - there is an upholstery foam stand in the Bury Market that has been there quite some time - open most days I've been there, which sells both meter rolls and blocks of light green upholstery foam, and also a lot of well-sized offcuts for cheap. If you are nearby, it is a short car ride, and there is a tram stop; but I only recommend the tram if you are only buying a little foam.. Or have friends to help. (avoid busy times.. Go on a week day if you plan to ferry foam about on the trams.)
