Drake ran up to DC Valentine. "Skree, skree, what's wrong??" Drake said, seeing nothing wrong with the body

(yes the body would have been pulled out but being out of the water for such a short amount of time, the blood would actually be a bit thinner than normal)

"what happened?" DI max said moving closer before a stench filled his nostrils causing him to gag. "better question, what's that stench?!"

"sorry, i didnt mean to alarm anyone, just found a spider" shudders and puts her jacket back on "nasty lil things..." she mumbled as she saw it scamper away "and that would more likely be the smell of our John doe over there" she said to DI Max.

"Plonkers..." DI Drake muttered to himself..."scared of spiders". Drake then snapped back to reality, "right! Let's get this body back to DCI Crevan before he has my badge for investigating a stiff without him...not to mention we took his Cortina".

"we? what do you mean we?" DI max said putting gloves on while going back to recheck the crashed car that the vase was in.

"you know what I mean Max! Now let's get this body back to CID, grab that vase too!" Drake walked past the PCs that stood around the body and flashed his warrant card, Erikson gave him the go-ahead to take the body. The team threw the body in the back of the Cortina and headed back to the station for forsenics.

"all of them? we don't have enough cells for that many." DI max said grabbing the keys to his 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350H. he opened the door of the black car, the sun reflecting off the dark tan gt racing stripes blended with a bumblebee stripe on the front. "oh and don't forget about the vase." he called to the others before starting the second gen Hemi engine which roared to life loudly, slightly echoing as he drove up the street.

DCI Fox picked up his radio and radioed DS serpington ''I'll send some uniformed back-up, I want the murders head on a barbed wired plate...Got it'' DCI Fox through the radio down onto the desk and slumped back down into his chair and pulled out a bottle of whisky and a glass from the bottom draw of his desk ''I god damn hate drugys'' He mumbled to himself.

DI Drake burst into his DCI's office and slammed some papers down on the desk. "guv here's a few similar murders...like this one! Susie Vanderbilt, murdered with a similar vase in 1968! I'm thinking this is a calling card of the Morton gang..." he looked at his DCI waiting for a response

DI guevara slowly woke up in the back seat of his car, "awww my head", he looked at his watch, "late...again"

he started the car and sped off towards the station, his imported chevy giving out a low growl as he put his foot down on the gas.

DCI Crevan slowly looked up at his DI and said with a grunt in his voice ''Pull up the files, i wan't to know who what when and where these crimes where committed'' DCI Fox then went on to say ''And where the bloody 'ell is DI Guevara''

"oh there he is guv" said DI Drake, "now we need to pull in anyone associated with the Morton gang, might I suggest Vic Tyler? He's a normal enough bloke with a minor record, might know something about the Mortons!"
DI Drake reached for the guv's car keys, "I'll just slip off and go pull him in"

DCI Fox snatched the keys and said ''Next time you pull a stunt like that and i'll fire you faster then you can say 'But guv' Got it'' DCI Fox put on his long brown coat and then grunted to DI Drake ''Let's fire up the Cortina  ''
