Marf, this is a game based off of something I used to play with groups of friends in real life when I was young. It isn't the same thing, though it shares similarities. Please read the rules and see if you'd like to play =3 Ask me questions if you don't understand something!
In Survival!, you and a small group of players are enjoying an evening at a theme park, but there is a problem! One of the players (chosen by me via private message) is secretly a murderer, and has tainted or affected some of the rides and attractions, which will kill anyone who uses them! (Examples are an out of control roller-coaster or poisoned cotton candy, or an electrified merry-go-round, or even a bumper car ride loaded with rabid raccoons!)
Being the theme-park connoisseur that you are, you, the player, must engage in these fun-filled attractions whether you want to or not! Each "hour" (turn) per "night" (round), you must use a few of the available "attractions" without knowing if any of them are trapped or not! If you are safe, you will witness other people dying and be able to try and guess why, but if you use one of the affected attractions, well, it was nice knowing you!
Here is the basic game-play layout and rules:
*8-10 players can play per night (round). You join the upcoming round simply by posting here, saying you'd like to play in the next round. People who are currently playing or were in the round that is going on cannot join the upcoming round unless the round ends and there are still empty spots.
*Before the night (round) starts, I will PM one of the players and let them know that they are the murderer, and they will tell me which of the 2 attractions they want to trap.
*Each hour (turn), all of the players, including the murderer, must use 3 out of the 8 different attractions available. Only two of those attractions are deadly, chosen by the murderer before the game begins. The player's choices are not sent to me privately, but are posted here instead, so everyone knows what they picked for that "hour".
*The possible attraction choices are...
Ride the roller-coaster
Eat some cotton candy
Hit up the merry-go-round
Enjoy the bumper cars
Look for a date
Watch the fireworks
Use the porto-potty
Buy souvenirs
*If any players take too long, they will be booted from the game and lose winning credit, which will be explained later.
*Once all the players have submitted what attractions they are using for the "hour", I will post who is dead and who is alive. Dead players are out of the game.
*Each "hour", you may choose 1 of the attractions you chose for the previous hour, but 2 must be different. What I mean is, at least 2 of your choices must be different from the previous hour, and you may change all 3 as well, if you desire.
*Players who are alive can either use more attractions or guess which attractions are tainted. If someone guesses wrong, they lose winning credit and are killed and removed from the game, while the murderer gains murder credit (Different from winner credit). BOTH attractions must be guessed together. Guess right, and you earn winner credit and win the game! The murderer may not guess the attractions, obviously.
*The first person to post with a guess is the person that will win the game if they are correct. For example, if 2 players post guesses, whoever guessed first is the only person whose guess counts.
*After being told that your guess was correct, if you can NAME the murderer, you will earn one extra winner credit! There is no downside to guessing wrong.
*If one player is left alive with the murderer, the murderer is the winner and gains murder credit (He kills them!)
*The murderer CANNOT use tainted attractions ever. He cannot kill himself.
I think that's about it! Oh wait! One more thing...
Winner credit is earned when you correctly guess the two tainted attractions first, but it's lost either when you are booted from the game by taking too long, or when you make a WRONG guess and are removed from the game. Murderer Credit is earned when you are the murderer and manage to kill everyone, or when someone makes a wrong guess. It cannot be lost. Winner credit is better to have than murder credit, since it's harder to earn and keep.
