Melanie shuddered and looked back up at Shai, her eyes swimming with tears "Oh Shai." she whispered. The arctic fox sat up on her back legs and wiped the tears off Shai's cheeks. Melanie then glanced down at her necklace, she stood and curled up between the tigeress's paws. The fox quickly swished her tail foward to cover her mangled back left paw and rested her head on her tail.

Shai sat there almost lifelessly staring into space, her paw only moving a little to stroke through melanie's fur and she sighed softly, beginning to look out into the distance. Her eyes wandered to all of the group.
