Forgive me as I'm not a techie but what is it behind that? The lag between computers and laptops that is.
How much would it matter if you got a really good, and more than likely very expencive, laptop and pitted it against a decent computer?
And... please put it in barney terms.

Lag is the difference in time between two computers and is affected by internet speed, power of the computer and where they are. If me and Terra try to play a game with the same computer and internet service, but from across the states, itll take a second for her actions to show up on my computer.

Oh I knew that the lag was a difference in the time between the two computers but I was wondering if it still holds between a really good laptop and a normal computer. I know you have to sacrifice memory or something over portability but if the memory and whatever else matched that of the computer would you still have that lag?

yeah you would. you could have infinite memory and youd still have lag. The best way to reduce lag is to have a good internet connection and connect with people from nearby servers.
