This is when you watch someone because you genuinely like their stuff and they just watch you back for seemingly no reason.
Like, I get that people who know each other might want to do that (since FA lacks a friend system)


Of course, could just be that they also like -your- stuff too and they only found it after you watched them.
Always had a hard time with that one tho as I don't really produce any content myself and people should go watch the original artists instead.

Yea. People do that on Twitter or YouTube too sometimes.
I literally have one person on Twitter that followed me because I followed them because I was watching their content on YouTube.

I would watch more people since there are tons of artists I like that I keep having to remember on top of my head, and fav more artworks, but I always feel bad when I do either because I never comment on stuff. >->'

I never have any idea what to say. xP
Just commenting one or two clichéd words/an emoji seems lazy, and some artists find it spammy and annoying.
Going into a full-length commentary breaking down the whole piece into "The X is amazing and I absolutely adore how you do Y. The Z  is also..." sounds a bit too invested and that might come off as creepy.
Especially when I myself isn't much of an artist.


So it's best to just lurk silently in the background and appreciate everything from afar.
