I wouldn't really consider TF2 a waste of time though...

You're learning lots and lots of skills in the game, aswell as training your general mindstuffs like situational awaraness, teamworking, and stuff like that. Plus, it's just soo much fun if you're doing it with friends. I'd almost say that games like TF2 make people smarter in one way or another.

At least you get cool stuff when you deliver another shipment of several hundred tonnes of slaves, or spend hours in Scruise looking for resources for engineering...

Technically Imperial slaves (the ones that I always do trading with) aren't really slaves.

Lore wise, Imperial citizens who get themselves into a high financial debt can sell themselves into slavery for a set amount of time to get rid of the debt. Imperial slaves are supposed to get humanely acceptable accomodation, food, treatment, and safe working conditions, in empirial territory, and treating your slaves badly is often said to result to the perpetuator himself becoming a slave.

Having said that, I did once accidentally dump several tonnes worth of the slaves out of my cargo hold, whilst moving at a few dozen times the speed of light, meaning that according to our big friend Albert, they would've literally disintegrated, but that's a part of my cmdr's history I tend not to speak about...

Yeah, Elite Dangerous consist mostly of the wonders of spaceships, interstellair exploration, and fun stuff, but unfortunately, since the game takes place in the year 3304, there's such a healthy amount of corruption going around the galaxy that it almost becomes dystopian.

We're talking about passenger liners occaisionally selling their "lower value" passengers as genuine slaves, (not imperial slaves) water filtration units administring medicine into the drinking water to make shure that citizens have "the right mood", and a lot more fun for the whole family!

It's not, though.

It's a grinding simulator, somewhat comparable to a big blown up space version of Euro truck simulator two, that allows you to also explore, mine, and kill people.

But, yes, it's got a pretty hefty amount of lore to it. It's just really really hard to find, sometimes.
