Most painful thing I've had is breaking both bones in my arm by falling, my arm was bent at a 30 degree angle (This was in the middle of my forearm, I don't think it's normally supposed to bend there  )

My understanding about the balls vs birth pain thing is twofold.  Women generally have a higher pain threshhold so subjectively an identical pain for a man will be worse, but testicular injuries are meant to be worse, but the blow rarely lasts more than a second.  So if you dragged it our for hours of repeat pounding in waves, getting worse and worse, then I reckon it would be worse.  Probably

As a man I can say the pain lasts way more than a second. I've received kicks to the nuts and that hurt LASTS. Like, dear lord they'll be sore for quite some time.

At least contraction pain ceases after the birth.  Unless the afterbirth remains... though there are other sources of pain
