Windows 8 has a pretty amazing search engine if you make a desktop search shortcut, it requires a quick download for a pre - made shortcut as its pretty long to write out, works better than 7. The start menu was a bad idea, but if you try Linux or OS X, you figure out why they did it. Everyone else already does the style of clicking "files" and then going to your stuff that way. Or you have to use metro. Personally I just use my search hack.

Either way, I can't use old anything when working on stuff. DirectX and OpenGL have to be at their newest available libraries so that you have compatible software with various machines.
