37915I do know this. The first living white tiger was captured in 1950. The white gene is only found in Bengal tigers causing them to be bigger than normal bengal tigers. The few documented cases of sumatran white tigers have been proved false as the breeding pairs were found to be a sumatran breeding with a bengal. The only reason the white tiger is so prevalent today is due to captive breeding the white gene is classed as a subspecies mutation rather than a genetic defectThe Bengal tiger is also know as The Royal Bengal or Indian TigerAlso if others can have birdcats, and dragonhorses, wolfcoons etc etc I can claim the white tiger as mine, as it saves me having to say it ever time someone goes "oooh orange kitty"Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me.
