Wouldn't that be technically a paradox ... To hate when you can't remember what you hate ... I guess it depends on what point of reference you are looking at it from it'd be a paradox if it was in present time but if it was in the past it wouldn't be... because if you hate when you can't remember what you hate you wouldn't be able to hate it ... if you didn't remember what you hated because at the time you didn't remember what you hated ... and all that fun stuff ...

In some instances, yes, it could be considered a paradox. But in general, I would say it is not. My reasoning behind this is that hate is a feeling, you can feel something but be unsure as to why. So, essentially, he can indeed hate something he is not aware of, simply for the fact the details had slipped his mind, but the feeling happens to linger. In which case, he knows something was there and so he would be frustrated by the fact he cannot remember what it is.
