Well, I'm no expert, but here's the basics. Everyone knows that the mind has extreme control over your body. Hypnotism allows people to tell your mind something and make it believe that whatever they are saying is true. For example: One of the goals of many furries interested in hypnosis is to acquire a "phantom tail." In order to achieve this, the hypnotist simply puts the person into what is called a trance and tells them in various ways that they have a tail. They might describe what that feels like, or they may leave it up to the person. Over time, the person will begin to actually
feel something where their tail would be. Success all depends on how receptive the person is.
FurMorphed has many files on specific species, and generic files for those that aren't as common. Basically, the mental transformation is just a way of saying that your mind begins to believe that you actually
are a furry.
Obviously, this comes with its own risks. Hypnosis is always a dangerous thing, and you should always be wary of it. Levels of danger are up to you, but stories of furry transformation on FurMorphed include some of the following: One guy was so "Transformed", he actually believed he was a cat for a few days; another sees himself and other furries as their fursona; and many have talked about taste changes. One cat said before the hypnosis files, she hated tuna. Afterwards? It became her favorite food.
Hypnosis files are not at all the best way to try furry hypnosis, but there is one thing they offer that a face-to-face hypnosis session cannot offer: Security. You can always read before hand or listen to the file without actually going into trance to see what is going to be said.
As for success? Well, I haven't listened to one for about a week now due to always being too tired to go into trance and not just fall asleep, but the last time I was able to stay awake for an entire file, I felt fur. It's the greatest feeling ever
