My dad went inside and mentioned it to the managers and asked about surveillance and they were like, "No. All we can do it call the cops for you." in a totally uninterested tone and he had already done it so he was like, "I already did." and left. We waited like half an hour for the cops (the person he talked to said that they would get there when the could) then my dad got tired of waiting, so we drove around the parking lots in the area to see if we could spot it, but we didn't so we just went home.

Even if he called the cops, I doubt they would spend too much time looking for the purse.

Exactly, Jay. He didn't even really want to call at all because he knew they wouldn't really do anything except "scribble in their notepad then toss it aside when they got back to the station".

Let's see, my license, my book for my savings account, and social security card (because I forgot to take it out after the last time I needed it).
But, like my dad said, if they were the kind of person to take a handful of change, they don't give a crap about that other stuff. They just wanted the cash.
I'll be changing my account on Tuesday just in case though, and we'll be keeping an eye on what happens with my SSI card.

My mom has had her wallet stolen and they just took the money out of it then tossed the wallet while going through the rotary, so I'm hoping that's all they did with mine. I'm also hoping someone will find it, look at my license, and give us a call...but that's a pretty big thing to hope for.
