Yeah, I've been working from the head down. I'm on head and torso drawings now (so basically bust drawings like how my avi is...except not as good).

I'm okay with heads, but I'm absolute rubbish with anatomy so far....

You should get GIMP too, my pictures wouldn't be half as good without it.

I use to draw the head last.  then I got tired of seeing a decapitated me so now I draw the head first

Yeah, that's how I felt. :)

Yes, you can use it to colour but I also use it for shading and touching up the line art.
