reasons i've heard tend to apply to the fact it looks original... however if it still fires in that condition it's worth even more

quite frankly if it was restored and done well and there was proof it's original... i wouldn't care... i'd pay a good price for it

most would they're highly collectible right now... i saw one at a gun show that was asking for $5000+ for it... i can't remember the specs on it though

It's actually in incredibly good shape, my dad says we just need to make sure it's shooting properly.
The wooden stock isn't rotting, and the metal isn't rusted either.
I think i might be making some good moneys soon!

Lol, I wish I had one of the M16A1's... The automatic versions are still legal in the US... Too bad they go for over 11k

i had a chance to get a Federal Automatic Weapons License.... I'm still kicking myself for not taking it... though i also couldn't afford the fees to get it

Actually it was originally my great grandfather's, he bought it after world war 1 'Cause they were being mass-produced at the time.
It was basically the same design as the one's that the soldiars would use except the wooden stock didn't run all the way to the end of the barrel, since you don't exactlly need a bayonet for hunting purposes.

i would also be in debt with the Government... i would have had to drop $2500 for the admission fee alone... then another $500 for the processing fee if it happens to get accepted....

it'd be cheaper to go into the military or become a police officer >.<

it lets you purchase, own, and operate a fully automatic firearm in the USA

And law enforcement has the happy advantages of making you immune to all US weapons laws (excluding explosives)
