The troop I was in did the following:
We had meetings where the scouts would sit at the table talking about something stupid like apple products or something and the leaders would sit there talking about vacations and scuba diving.
And occasionally we went to a small spot in the woods where the scouts would complain all day and they really just spent most of their time at stores nearby. And the leaders would be jerks while they're at it.

I'm a patrol leader. It sucks half the fun out of Scouts xD
I don't want to do it anymore. And yeah, bro your description is right xD
Our SL's are pretty cool though. One of them is a branch commissioner for our state. Some of the Scouts in our troop can be difficult.
We do an OK amount of camps.
And last time I checked, SingStar night isn't really a Scouting activity. x.x

Yea, I luckily was able to leave the troop before they made me a Senior Patrol leader >.<
I would of had to run the meetings, I was kinda lookin' forward to teaching the kids to be awesome anarchists though.  B)
