I wish I knew how to play an instrument and sing. I have so many ideas for songs, but I can't show people just how great they are. Only I can play them in my head and enjoy them.

have you tried LMMS?
 (Linux multimedia studio)
it is cool cause its like you can make songs with it, and its free.
Its basic, but it works.
