Real life football ... and SOCCER? I really hate having to say Soccer, but it's the only way to get peoples attention ^^;

I play "soccer" sometimes but not often, though every time I do, everyone asks if I'm in a proper team... it's strange.

I played footie while I was on holiday in France ... and I done rather well ^^

I got 3 assists from corners - and I can't take corners ^^;

I scored a few goals, a few from distance and an epic top-corner goal, from 20 yards out (diagonal ball, that dipped into the top corner)

Heck, I nearly got a header in the goal, even though I hate/can't header :lol:

Can't forget about scoring with a pair of sandles on ... yeah, I jumped into a shallow pond, had to change my trainers, went back to the pitch and then scored with my sandles

sandle football? that's quite impressive. My cousin did that once and ended up  repeatedly kicking people in the shins.

I used to play football (soccer) for my school team. I played best as a defender, some tackles got brutal, nothing serious, though I was grateful for those shin pads.
What I find helps in a tournement, is to watch the other teams play. while most of my team were away in the clubhouse getting something to eat or whatever, I would be working out how the other players umm... play, and if there was somebody I should keep my eye on if I were to play that team.
Sorry if i got carried away, I've got myself in the mood for playing  :3

I dont have shin pads. And the sandles are only impressive they hinder movement... or atleast they do for me.Barefoot is fine as long as nobody's wearing studs :P

Yeah, I had GOOD shoes, but I didn't want to ruin them, so I got a pair of sandles ...sure, I kept taking them off, cos of the grip, but in the end, I managed to score while barefoot ^^

But, I'm also good with trainer and especially when I'm on form ^^

But since I'm mainly used as a goalkeeper, I tend to stray forward when on the attack ... since I'm also a striker, I've got an obseession with scoring from distance (Xabi Alonso), so I tend not to pass and go for it myself ... which is my downside

I'm normally up the wings. I'm good at passing, especially through balls. THere's a weird thing about me where no matter what, the ball that i kick or throw, will always go to what grabs my attention the most. For example I was playing a bit of fake gardeny cricket with my cousins, and I accidentally threw the ball at my cousin rather than the stumps (wasnt a real cricket ball). Because of this, he became more jittery and aware that i might hit him, and the more he did this, the more attention he drew to himself and the more likely it was that he would be hit. By the 4th bowl, he ran to the side the moment I threw, and he still got hit.

LOL

I just had an idea, well an idea for the UK members ... we could try andd meet up and have a "The Furry Forum" FurMeet and then have a kick around...

Obviously, I can't orginize this, cos I don't know how to orginze  a duck party ... but it would be epic ... or we could do something like this, with the UKFur FurMeets ^^;

Still sounds like a good idea though, maybe find somewhere easy for everyone to get to?
