Hm...this is going to be tough....

I'm split between God of War series and the R&C series....so darn hard to choose.

I cannot believe I did not include anything from the Battletech games. I love the Mechwarrior series most of all. It's complex yet exciting, with half the game being about mastering the mech itself, becoming master of your machine.
Mechcommander is also fantastic with some of the most intense battles I have ever had. Never before and never since have I shouted encouragement to one of my little guys, though it was during a demo of Mechcommander but i still think that counts.

That said, I dont like the Mechassault series. It's too detached from the Battletech ideals of complexity and realism in a fantastical and explosive setting.

Also once i got reading into the history, I love the thousand years of war and peace, migration and return, all starting from the real-world mid 1980s when Battletech was first made.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

I think Conker, the red squirrel, was a series when N64 was around. It was AWESOME!It had everything. Zombies, turd monsters, war, bank robberies, etc. It was my favorite when I was a kid.

My favorite series would probably be The Elder Scrolls. With Oblivion being my favorite.

One of my favs is the Jak and Daxter series. I got so attached to the story and characters that it was the first game where I was acutally upset when I beat it.

Another is Dead Rising, a game that I have recently become obsessed with. What could be better than a giant mall full of zombies where anything that isn't bolted down can be used as a weapon. It may be difficult, but the game is very rewarding and has 7, no joke, 7 different endings to it. Now THAT'S what I call replay value lol.

I don't think I can really choose a favourite game series. I'm always torn between the different genres.
But I do have my favourites within the genres themselves.

My favourite FPS series would have to be the Timesplitters games. They were always so weird and funny. The first one wasn't as good as the two sequels because the story mode didn't really have a story but it was still fun in the multiplayer. Me and my friends would spend hours messing around with the map creator in Timesplitters: Future Perfect.

For stealth games it would either be Tenchu or Splinter Cell, though SC: double agent kinda ruined it for me. I'm still looking forward to Convictions.

For RPG's it would definately have to be the Fallout series. I have all 5 games and I love them to pieces, especially the first two because of the humour in them. And Fallout 3 is just huuuuge. I hope the expansions keep on coming because I don't want it to end. I'm also hoping they go ahead with Project V13 (AKA Fallout online)

The whole Total War series
The homosexual has been a
significant part of human sexual
activity ever since the dawn of
history, primarily because it is an
expression of capacities that are
basic in the human animal.

I was gonna say that one, but then I realised that very very very slowly, I've been getting bored of it... and I've been a major fan since Shogun.

Empire is quite fun, especially mp naval battles. And the older ones, I still have them for the brilliant mods that are made for them.

I've got empire... i just cant seem to get the motivation to put the time into it. I did the demo and quite enjoyed that, but I have it now and it's just... unused
