Um... Akayla wanted to see me with two tales, and Bane's doesn't match my scales. I was able to remove it without any serious injury, and a new one should be growing in, just use this to cover the bud...

The shadow recognizes the one it is attached to, and adapts its form to gain a scale covering almost identical to hers, but it twisted and stretched in ways that a tail really shouldn't be able to.
