Um... don't want to destroy dreams buuuuuuuuuuuuuut, Although that very well may be true, we can't find the race really, because the light takes so long to reach us, we could be observing a planet with a wolven anthro race, but we'd only be seeing that planet 1,000,000 years before that race even existed.
