Nope, I read the commentary, buy only from the US, make sure the seller rating is high, several items have been sold, and look for related comments to the product I am interested in. If I find something I don't like, I just buy from somebody else. Only thing I would never buy on Ebay are Pro Duo memory cards, because like 80% of the ones I have looked through were all counterfeits, even in the US.

Bootlegs and Counterfeits are one in the same, sometimes you get lucky and get a "good" counterfeit item where it does actually work, bootlegs usually refer to DVDs or videogames.
