Summary~
The world, our world holds nothing now. Greed, hate, sorrow, malice have all taken their turns ripping away at what used to be a beautiful place. War ravaged our lands and left us with the martial law upheld by officers of conquest. Freedoms we once thought nothing of are now looked upon as suspicious acts, enough to warrant questionings, beatings and arrests. Our opinions mean little and our voices are strangled to a mute. Acts of defiance are too often met with death. Our economy is little more than rationed wealth. Thoughts of escape exist to only that extent, for the world else where either mimics ours or has been subjected to a fate fathoms worse. Rumors rose though, of another world. A peaceful place untouched by the hands of negativity. An area of time and space were grass grows and pure water flows. It is a place were we can restart and walk through the ages as we should have. The Ether, is what they call this world and the Underground, a rebellion, can take us there. Tonight, we begin to climb the rope latter out of hell.

No character profiles are needed. All the information that would go there can go in your first post.
For those of you that have played Half-Life 2, this world is much like Combine controled City 17 except the occupying army, is human and there aren't any headcrabs/zombies/other-Xen-like-creatures about.
No one starts off in the resistance known as the Underground.
Firearms and ammunition are hard to come by.
Please no cliche characters with cliche personalities. Using fursona's is okay and encouraged.
I don't have a specific quantity I want you to post, however I do ask that it is spell/grammer checked, descriptive and relevant to whats going on.

Terms and words to be familiar with~
The Ether: A world away from our own. An untainted sanctuary that serves a final haven for anyone who was able to make it through the Railroad to the Underground's main base, Home.
Underground: A resistance group who actively works against the occupying army through propaganda, rallies and actual attacks. They are the discoverers of The Ether and have established an under-the-radar route to their base of operations
Home: The underground's main base of operations. It is here that scientist of the resistance can transport you to The Ether.
Salt Dog: One of the Underground's major "rest stations" and the half way marker of the Railroad. Named after a harbor side pub that stayed in business through the occupation.
Railroad: The Undergrounds system of safe houses that lead to Home. Its much easier to start this path than it is to walk it.
OA: Occupying Army.
Goons and Gorillas: The OA's soldiers.
Spooks: The OA's biomechanical machines of war that help them keep conquered lands under their control.
