Richard recounts what he's expected to bring, and curses under his breath for being absolutely stupid: I forgot to get notebooks. He walks out of the room, goes to the store, and as he is checking the school supplies section for notebooks, bashes his head on a sale sign when standing up.
Then he smashes it against the bottom of his cabinet at home... then the top of his door... then expecting to crush his head on something, he dives down unneccessarily and hits it on the ground. He howls in agony, "Why do I have to be so tall!? Why, why, why!!!???" and stands up to his full seven feet and three inches.
On the way out the front door to go for his late night dinner at Ihop, he hit his head again. On the way into Ihop, he hit his head again. When he sat down, he hit his head on a lamp... and then when he sat up after eating, did so again. On his way out, he ducked, then toppled over as he tripped over a man's foot, hitting his head on the ground.
He counted himself lucky that he has fur covering his head: Because he tallied up nine new bumps... in addition to the twenty-seven others on his head... a few were actually sticking out as he figured out in the mirror. "I gotta' go to school tomorrow like this? Oh joy, oh joy!" he whined and fell asleep on his undersized bed.
