Math class story idea. >.>

In math today, waiting for the teacher to grade a paper of mine, my mind suddenly exploded in a brillant metaphorical sense. A fantasy novel; something I've never written before. The idea involved an otherworldly setting, a menagarie of beast-people (furries), and a deep story involving the betrayal of the main character's brother. Of course, I was momentarily taken off guard. Me? Writing something that amazing? No, it can't be.

However, I'm writing it.

The story starts with the destruction of the River Village. My main character is a poor, young Hyendae whose parents are killed in the assult. She somehow survives and treks to the nearby village of Bluemoon. There, she is taken in by a kind Lupine, whom proceeds to raise her as a proper young maiden. However, this doesn't sit well with our hero. She wants to know who killed her family, and why. She wants revenge.

On the way there she meets an eccentric Celestial (a human with wings, basically) whose family was also killed by what she calls "The Dark One". She also meets a rebellious Panthera (tiger-person), a spoiled Vulpe priestess (fox-person), and a carefree Drake (dragon-person). Somehow the mismatched crew manage to arrive at the Dark One's lair. But within the lair is a illusion which rends happiness and reveals your deepest fears and secrets. Can our hero manage her journey without mishap? Or is she doomed to suffer within the Dark One's lair?

You'll have to find out! Readreadreadbuybuybuy.

Whaddya think? Is it worth writing?  :)

I'm not afraid of death! Death is tasty!
