Gerard looked down at Sarah's face with tears streaming down his face.. Her eyes opened tensly as she could only guess what was bothering her true love.
"Gerard....." she began, but he lifted his hand to stop her as he slowly lifted his other hand, holding a letter, still staring at the ground, he handed her the letter.
"By the power invested in the Government.... Gerard has been....." She couldn't bring herself to finish the letter, as she began crying.
"Drafted...." he finished...
"Oh Gerard.... please don't go...."
"I Can't.... the MPs will find me, there's no way around this Sarah...."
"What about our child?" she asked, holding on to his hand for support.
"I'm.... I'm not sure.... I'm sorry Sarah" he breathed, tears streaming down his face as he lost all hope.
That was 5 years ago. Gerard was now Gabag. Gabag was a hardened marine now. Trained in all ways lethal and non lethal, he had become a powerhouse.
Once the Draconic wars ended, he was able to return to his former home. Only to find it destroyed beyond all recognition. No signs of his family, except a picture frame with Gerard holding his wife's hand when she was pregnant. They looked almost... happy... peaceful.
