Actually, Zeph, I came up with most of that in a one- to two-hour span.
I had all the names already as you could see in my sig, although I had to come up with random last names for a couple of them cuz they didn't have them yet.
The species were obvious too, since they're right in my info.
And their ages and what they like kinda came from RPs I used them in.
Then for what they play, I just came up with things that would kinda fit their personalities, same with the music they like, and they all dislike the same music.
