Hey-ho!
« on: October 13, 2026, 06:48:55 PM »
Heya! I'm new here.

Where do I start with introducing myself? I am a Lithuanian dragon sheep thing currently in the UK, and I have been in the fandom on and off for about six years.
I have quite a few interests and hobbies, ranging from firearms to playing the guitar. I figured all as much that I shouldn't give away too much, just to give you incentive to find out more about me :3. Though the one thing you should know about me, is that I love music. I have been trying to form a band, as well as trying my hand at electronic music through DAWs.

Really hope to get to get to know a few people on here. I prefer the slow and detailed responses on forums rather than the quick but dry responses I get on other platforms.

Mwah!

Hey there! Welcome aboard!

Do you use FL Studio as a DAW? I've never used a DAW in my life but I've seen FL Studio come up repeatedly when people talk about them.

Heya! Yeah I do use FL studio! I have used Ableton too, but I prefer FL studio, as I understand it more x3.
Im guessing you have producer friends then?

Nope. Just curious and look into tools indie game devs use to make games. I did use to play the piano so I do just have an interest in music in general too.

If you haven't heard of them already, there's a YouTube channel called Synthet that teaches musical concepts and DAW history. You might know a lot of it already, but he's entertaining.

Oh, so are you an indie dev then? And yeah, I know them! I find the history of that sorta stuff pretty interesting.

I also use to play the piano. I use to play the piano and violin when I was way younger. I have already forgotten pretty much anything, I struggle to read sheet music to this day, so I rely on guitar tabs to play songs on the guitar x3

Not professionally into game development but I do volunteer as a dev/QA for a Neverwinter Nights community server. Keeping game dev as a hobby is probably what I'll stick to. I don't want to get into the professional industry and slave away on 60 hour weeks with no overtime and unreasonable expectations for someone else's vision, and trying to make money off as an indie is like trying to make money on YouTube. You need an absurd amount of luck and talent. But making is fun, and hobbies are for fun.

I too have forgotten how to play the piano. It's been like 20+ years since I last played so there's a lot of rust.

I see what you mean as well. I really wanted to attend a music/film college and study that, but I don't want to slave away working on ideas I don't like, if you get what I mean. I would much prefer to keep those things as hobbies as well. Simply for fun, and if I get money from it, I get money from it. Ultimately, the end goal is to  make something based off of my creativeness rather than the end goal being to monetize off of it.

I also quite like game development, I was thinking of learning it at some point in time. I have friends who do study game development, and I help them with ideas for stuff. I enjoy the creativeness of it.

I would much rather work on my own projects than be a wage slave.
