« on: March 15, 2008, 12:44:06 AM »
Well...I'm working tomorrow...but my mom is goin to wal-mart to pick me up a 360 for me... the bundle one with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance...

Just wondering what should be my 1st game purchase?

HEre's what I came up with...

~The Orange Box

~Halo 3 (Legendary)

~Gears of War

The orange box is great all the half life 2 games are fun to play through. Portal was fun and different and Team fortress is great if you can find people to play with that won't lag you to death.

Halo 3 has a great SP/coop and the multiplayer isnt bad but its been done better in other games. I didnt like the MP at all but thats just me

Gears of war has a good Coop and great MP but you will be lucky to find many games these days. Plus the game has host advantage with lag thats pretty noticeable.

Might I also suggest Call of Duty 4, Bioshock and Forza 2 (if you like Racing) Also Oblivion, Lost odyssey and Mass effect. Obviously Im a oblivion nut I play it all the time RPing my avatar is lots of fun. However oblivion on the console, you miss out on alot of the great mods you normally get with Elder scrolls on the PC

Out of the 3 choices you gave I own Gears of War and rented the other two. If you get it let me know Ill coop with you

halo 3 is a decent singleplayer, if not a bit short, but if you're going for xbox live, its the way to go

Gears is a neat singleplayer, it'll have you enjoyed for a while, but the multiplayer is awfully disapointing, with host advantage, lag issues and only few players online nowadays

the orange box is one of the most acomplishing packages available, and its sure to have you enjoyed if you love Half Life, though i dont know about TF, people complain about it having lag, but i guess Portal, a very short plus game, makes up for that

ADDITION TO THE LIST

Call of Duty 4, even more players online than halo 3 has, the multiplayer is simply increddible, it has some really neat maps, custom class creator, and its a complete package of entertainment, only problem is that the server connection isnt all too good, and sometimes, you have to wait a really long time to come in to a game thanks to that, but there isnt much lag

What Dues ex said is correct. Though I'd definately chose CoD4 for MP over Halo3 anyday of the week. They are both sprayfests but thats par for the course on the consoles.

Really? Long story, but I usually don't play MP and COD4 SP was amazingly good compared to Halo 3 SP.

Perhaps Army of Two? From what I heard and seen it looks good.
This forum's most notorious pirate since February 26, 2007.

army of two is okay.. i doubt its worth the full boxed price if you're not gonna play co-op (playing on your own on that game is boring from what i've heard) but its a blast playing with friends

Well Forza 2 comes with pretty much all the bundles where i am...as well Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I"m a big Halo Fan.

I've played the PC Version of CoD4 at a LAN party. it was loads fun..

But i'm definetly getting the orange box. and  I asked for CoD4 for easter.

Till then I've got Conker Live and Reloaded to tie me over..(I got it in the mail today xD)

Heh...i could play against my boss in CoD4 o.o ...
