Long ago, before the dawn of man... there were six Divine Entities;
Ergos, the Divine of Light.
Argosa'an, the Divine of Darkness.
Stahlos, the Divine of Creation.
Arkos, the Divine of Destruction.
Feira'as, the Divine of Nature.
Domicus, the Divine of Blood.

With their powers combined, the Mortal Realm was made.  With each Divine granted a place of worship by the Mortals that inhabited the realm, the world was at peace.

But alas, peace was all but temporary... for when the time came, that the world's borders were reached, the Mortals began to do battle against one another, in a conquest for their gods' favor... and due to their differences, the gods, too, were affected by this influence, and waged war amongst each other, using their Mortals as vessels to take over the world in their name.

From within the chaos, however, a new being approached... a Seventh Divine, which took on the shell of a Mortal, and guarded them from the gods' influence for so long... Zethalon.

With powers from each of the gods, he fought against them for the freedom of the Mortals, as a way to end the Great War.

The battle was treacherous, and straining for his Mortal Body... but in the end, Zethalon proved triumphant.  Wielding his blade, of which he dubbed, "Compassion", he was able to end the gods' control over the Mortal Realm, and the war was, at long last, over.

But it was not without its cost.  Having successfully defeated the gods, themselves, Zethalon's body was far too torn for life, and he was not to return from the Great Temple, which now to this day lay buried beneath the landscape.

He then ascended to the Aetherial Realm, where the gods rest.

As for the Mortals... while many have segregated into their own communities, there are a few out there who rise up and become Legends amongst their peers... but only a select few now know of the true gods that built the world from the ground up.

In the end, though, Balance continues to shift... and when such shifts are made, dangers rise from beyond... Undead continue to roam the lands, seeking victims to assimilate into their armies.

The Mortals, themselves, have grown into thriving kingdoms, where alliances are made, and wars are waged.

To this day, the common Mortals are:
"Human" - The most balanced of races, the Humans of the Empire are a proud race, whose ties remain forevermore flexible.  Though they have no potential Raw Strengths, they also lack in Weaknesses, and can adapt quite well to any situation, and tend to follow any god.

"Stahlite" - Masters of the Craft, the Stahlites resemble the shape and form of the Humans, but with greater strength in their arms, at the cost of their height.  They are primarily devoted to Stahlos, though Ergos also shares great influence with their people as well.  They tend to loathe those that follow Domicus and Arkos, however.

"Altherian" - Gifted with ears long enough to hear the voices of the Spirits, the Altherian Chantry carry with them the most intellectual of Mortals, and were once capable of mastering Magic with little to no issues.  However, with the ages gone by, even their hold of the Magic Arts remain limited.  They primarily follow Ergos and Feira'as, though a few have also taken their lust for Knowledge into the hands of Domicus and Arkos.

"Wolfman" - Beasts of the Wilderness, masters of the hunt, and fearsome foes when in combat, the Wolven People are able to grow quite Strong and Agile, though at the cost of Intellectual Prowess, for they've no need in Civilization whenever born into the Wilds.  However, over time, a few have chosen to side with the Human Empire, as a "Blue Crown" is embroidered onto their heads with a Runic Powder, to show where their loyalties lie.  They tend to follow Feira'as and Domicus.

"Catfolk" - A race once thought to have been driven to extinction by the Wolven, the Catfolk are a flexible race, nimble with Agility and Intellect, but at the cost of Strength.  They follow the Altherian Chantry after their successful attempt at rescuing their society from total loss, and protecting them since long ago.  In extension, they follow the same gods as the Altherians.

"Kobold" - Miniature, Draconic people.  The Kobolds are fearsome, and capable of reaching dangerously high speeds in combat with their superb Agility.  As a drawback, however, their other stats are heavily hindered, and limit them to rely more on their weapons above all else.  They follow Domicus primarily, though a few have strayed far enough to simply dismiss the gods entirely.

"Orc" - Powerful warriors, with a flexible code of Honor.  The Orcs are brute forces who serve Domicus, Arkos, and even Stahlos, whose influence mostly emboldens the Craftsmen of the Orcish Tribes.  When in battle, they tend to fight to the very last of their breath.

"Tiefling" - Half-Demons whose origins still remain unknown to this day.  Some seek to assimilate with the Human Empire and their allies, while others only seek to cause chaos and mischief around the lands.  Their associations with the gods vary, depending on who they decide to pledge allegiance for.

"Minigob" - Miniature Goblins whose greed far exceeds many of the other races.  Rather than follow gods, they tend to seek out fortune, and will jump at the nearest shiny object they find.  When in combat, however, they can be quite fierce when in great numbers!

"Giant" - Massive people whose Strength is only emboldened by their Craftsmanship.  Having dwelt in the Caves, they tend to follow Stahlos occasionally, though their focus may be drawn towards their long-time allies, the Stahlites.

"Snakeman" - Large Snake People who once lived within the Tombs of the Desert Wastelands.  Their ties with Domicus and Arkos leaves a bitter taste towards the Altherians and Stahlites, but a truce has been made for their Human Allies, granting them Lawful Freedom, should they come across the other two while within Human Territory.

"Cyclops" - One-Eyed Giants, whose Intellect falls shorter of their Distant Cousins.  They live secluded from the rest of society, and get by through their own cave systems, where they may serve Arkos and Argosa'an freely.

"Ratling" - Large rat-like Mortals who live within the Sewers and Caves below the Human Empire.  A few, however, may seek a peaceful approach with the Human Empire, and be granted a "Blue Crown", though those tend to lead lives as Servants, whose masters would rarely pay attention to them, save for a lucky few.  They usually follow Arkos and Domicus, but Feira'as is more than open to discussion for the Outcasts amongst their people.

"Lizardman" - Having also once thought to have been driven to extinction within the Great War, the Lizardmen have slowly started to return from the Swamps, seeking to thrive into a large nation once again.  They serve Feira'as and Domicus, while also relying on the teachings of Arkos to destroy those that get in their way.

"Frogman" - Sworn enemies to the Lizardmen, the Frogmen are a Nomadic Race that tend to travel similar to the few Catfolk that become Adventurers.  They usually serve Feira'as.

"Myconid" - Odd Plant-like people whose origins are still shrouded in mystery.

"Valshok" - Fierce warriors of the Frozen Lands.  Having become one of the younger of the Races, they seek to expand their territory, but lack much knowledge in the gods.

Many more races continue to show their faces... perhaps you may even be among the newer ones?

Maybe you're destined to bring Order to the Mainlands, or send it into a state of Chaos?  Perhaps you're destined to be a Noble, or even the next Monarch to your people?  Perhaps you're a Peasant, on your way to becoming a Master Smith, or a Chairman to the Inquisition?

Perhaps you could even be the next Legend to roam these Lands!

The path is open, and the choice is yours...

Welcome... to the Lands of Legend!

So, welcome to my first attempt at posting an advertisement for a game my team and I have been working our hardest to revive!

The game is called "Lands of Legend", and it's based heavily on Roleplaying, as well as Storybuilding and Life Simulation!  You can become, almost literally, ANYTHING you can think of!  From a Holier-Than-Thou Paladin who follows the Light of Ergos, to a Demonic Entity hellbent on revenge against the world, for shunning you from its societies!  (Of course, you'd have to have an In-Character reason for becoming those things, but hey, it's still out there!)

Interested in learning more?  Seek us out over on our Discord Channel at: https://discord.gg/EG8a5zU

In order to play, you need to connect via BYOND, which can be found at http://www.byond.com/ .  You'll need an account there in order to have a PERMANENT character, though you're more than free to hop in immediately as a temporary GUEST character, by connecting to http://www.byond.com/play/585423628, and choosing "Guest".  If the Webclient doesn't work, you can still join us by downloading the BYOND Client, over at http://www.byond.com/download/!  Just remember that there are rules to the game, and it may take some getting used to, but most of it's pretty self-explanatory!

(( Please note that this post is Semi-WIP, and will be updated once more time for fine-tuning is available, including Screenshots, Guides, and more! ))
A human among the anthropomorphic folks, adopted into a family of lions.  A minority to the public, but hey, these hands can work wonders in a world where everyone else has paws and claws, at least.
