I need help with my Fursona
« on: February 25, 2018, 08:29:55 PM »

I'm new to this whole thing.. I've considered myself a furry for a couple years now but have only just had the guts to make my own Fursona.. I'm a very indecisive person so was looking for help deciding on my Fursona, if you can..

My personality - introverted until you know me, then extroverted; generally lazy with random spikes of energy; reader; gamer; archer; musician (sax, uke and singing); polite to most with a few good friends but some leave me very fast so my relationships are almost always changing; most people would consider me weird; loyal.

Thanks for your time and help (=^w^=)

(I might put an update/edit if I think of anything else to do with my personality..)

Hi, Baud. Yes, that was the first thing I did when I signed up about 30 minutes ago. It did help but not as much as I'd hoped.. You see, along with my depression and autism comes extreme indecisiveness.. While I'm only 16, I mainly live my life through many personality tests and things like that. I was just sort of hoping for someone to help me make a decision and maybe help me stick with it

That sounds a lot like a house cat to me.

Thank you for your input, John.

Thank you for agreeing to help me, Baud; most people think I'm a lost cause.. I like most animals, really. I like dogs, cats and mice because I grew up around them. I like rabbits because of exposure to them in cartoons, i.e. Lola and Bugs Bunny. Bears and otters are cute and sloths are funny. I guess that's it..

You should remember that you don't have to stick to your 'fur'st fursona, you can always change it up a bit if you feel the need to. And you can actually have more than one. So up to ya.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is try different characters, you don't have to be "right" on the first try. Some people find that they like having multiple characters to represent different parts of themselves.

If you want your sona to represent yourself, taking a species test would be a good start. (as I assume that you mean that you want your sona's species to share the IRL properties that you have)

This site will really help you with finding your species.

The test itself is not ideal, by any means, but the pages for each animals are very complete and accurate, and they'll tell you a lot of usefull stuff about the animal, it's corresponding personality types, and their place in human society.

You might want to consider not taking the test, and just browsing the animal's pages to see wich fits you best.

Thank you, Brisky, that helps a lot!

So, according to the website, I'm an Otter (I didn't take the test, but read the descriptions).

'Lazy? Let's just say easily distracted. Life has so many diversions for the otter that it's impossible to predict how it will fill its day. But when an otter gets focused on a problem, its keen intelligence rises to the challenge and it will not give up until the nut is cracked'
And
'Although intelligent and witty, otters have a tendency to suffer from self-doubt and fear of failure can prevent them from living up to their true potential. Still, they are a great problem solvers, with the ability to spend endless hours on abstract or practical challenges. As workers, they are dedicated and capable and always eager for a chance to prove themselves'

Seem to match me rather well. Thank you all so much for your help :3
