Random people keep messaging me on Xbox live

Hey guys Issac here, recently I've been getting messages from several different profiles on Xbox live saying that their using the Xbox app to communicate and that they're trying to make new friends, then they proceed to ask how old I am.


I'll type in their exact message below.


"I got your name from the Xbox nametag search because I was bored and was looking for people to talk to."


Then I kept asking him who he was, but he never proceed to answer and just kept talking about some idea he came up with.


"Ahh, I just got done playing cod (call of duty) I'm on summer break and I'm really excited about it! Still in college right now so now I really enjoy the time off with my friends you know?"


Then he asked me if I wanted to have some fun.


"I was actually going to work here shortly, a friend of mine was working online and I kept asking her about it so she showed me what she was doing when we got back to school last fall, I thought she was out of her mind at first but it's pretty cool actually haha."


He asked me if I wanted to hear it, so I just said "fine" and let him go on to see what he really wanted.


"We work online by doing private webcam shows which sounded super sketchy at first, but believe me I love it!".


I told him to go on.


"Well what I was going to say is I have some free passes and I usually just do a private show just before I get started to warm up, no one is online though so I figured to let you use one of the passes if you wanted but you have to give a good rating on so I can get more of them ok?"


Then I proceded to tell him that it was a scam and that I saw right through it, and that I wasn't going to fall for it. Then he just kept proceeding to send me messages about it in case I was interested, and I clearly wasn't.


He then gave me the website name and told me what to do to register.


One of my friends told me that he got these messages before and he thinks it's a bot trying to scam you, and I kinda believe him.


Can I get more info on this so called bot? I just want to know why the not would message me in the first place, why it would attempt to scam me, stuff like that, any help would be appreciated.

Please do not trust this. Whatever the account says, don't listen to it.
I'm assuming you've signed up to something and that's why you're getting these massages. I get them as well.
Just block them and forget about them.

Yep that is totally a scam. I get that on Kik and on my PSvita. lol

It's a bot or a scammer promoting some shitty porn site filled with ads. Just block it. I don't have an Xbox, never really used it, but I'm pretty sure that you can block people on Xbox. Do me a favor and tell him to go **censor** himself before blocking him.

It's probably a bot. I get them on Skype every now and then. To test if it's a bot, say something about them being a bot. It'll just ignore you and continue with its script. Next time you think it's a bot, immediately ask if it's a bot or insult it.If it ignores you, block it and save the time of going through the motions.
