Chaos
« on: June 28, 2017, 12:24:07 AM »
No, this won't be a thread where I will be complaining about how chaotic my life is.
Or how there is no guidance to it, no ironically enough I complain about the lack of chaos.

This is not something I suddenly discovered but something I came to realize over the course of many years and especially the last 3 years.
That's when I started going to uni and last year changed it to college.
I noticed that whenever there is a situation that disrupts everything normal (for example: an accident happens and the whole trainnetwork gets disrupted) I feel at home since I get a certain challenge and I can start finding the order in the chaos.

It might sound stupid but this really wrecks my nerves, it feels so annoying to walk around and never find a real challenge.
Who else suffers from this and how do I tackle it?

Surely I can't be the only one suffering from this issue.

If anyone can give me some kind of advice, please do

I don't have this issue, I'm trying to make my life as easy as possible. Maybe you should try sports or set your life goals to something really hard, like being a super influential politician. Maybe try bodybuilding. Maybe try to chin random people on the street. I don't really know you dude, I'm basically taking ideas out of my ass.

About the politics thing, this is what is going for me:
-President of a youth political party
-Provincial President of a political party
-Chief Social Media of the political party
-Organizational member of the Flemish Youth Parliament
-Organizational member of the Federal Youth Parliament
-President of a public transit movement
-Founder/President of a city-transitnetwork-promoting-movement
-Member of Honour at the museumrailroad
-Tramguard at the tram museum

So, what it looks like si that I still for some weird reason don't get enough satisfaction of what I do since I want more activety, chaos etc.

Still having problems with that feeling of calm eh?

Maybe you need to attend more social events or move back to the city. You will never be able to replace your environment with what you're used to no matter what activities you pre-occupy yourself with. You can either adapt to your new environment or move. If you don't you'll probably drive yourself mad.

Yeah, I still suffer from it.
Funny thing is: they said I got easily overstessed due to the fact I lived in a hectic enviroment.
Now it becomes clear that in fact I get stressed out because it's too calm.

Seems I just can't relax

Hm. I sometimes have this issue. Everything sorta sucks when it's all calm and you don't feel pressure/stress. Have you considered maybe starting a 'wild n' wacky' work-out process? Maybe something that'll push you hard. Or perhaps taking a part-job/volunteer work would do it for you. I still think exercise would be your best bet as it's a lot more flexible then work.

Also, have you considered learning a new language? That is stressful as sh!t.

I have thought about new languages but I can already speak Dutch, English, French and German. I migth go for Spanish.
Now I'm already a volunteer at 3 museums.

I think, that in short: I don't get enough challenged, and I really hope I knew how to tackle this

Well, if you ever want to add a fourth, try Mandarin Chinese. You also would have to learn the characters.

Well, you could follow your dreams. Sounds weird, I know, but pick a dream and just ... go. I once knew a guy who wanted to walk across the country so he literally packed up and left and walked across the country. Not saying you gotta walk across the country, but a big dream might be good.
