Try introducing yourself along with mentioning you are looking to socialize.


Including your interests, hobbies, personality, and lifestyle generates discussion and gives people an idea of who you're looking for in a friend. It will also encourage others to talk about themselves, too!


Also, saying you're 'lonely' often gives the wrong impression. I would recommend saying you would like to make new friends or meet new people.

I would try going outside to socialize more in real settings AKA stores, work, school, etc. because friendship seeking online is just asking for let downs and weird encounters.

If you really absolutely are insistent on seeking friends online, its all about wording, where to post, and how you post it.

I can't take this anymore. I can't handle this IRL loneliness.

I mean these guys were both very attractive, got lots of attention, lots of post likes, positive comments, talented, outgoing, very happy together...

I'll never get any of that stuff. I can't live knowing that they get it and I don't.

And I have no IRL friends. This online stuff isn't cutting it anymore.

This may seem like difficult advice to follow it it's honestly some of the best out there I can give. Turn the negative lonely emotion into energy to go out there and find friends : join a gym /sports club or apply for some part-time classes (if you're not already in school), they can be some good ways to meet new people.
The main thing is putting yourself out there, which I know can seem quite hard but it's really the only way to meet new people. Good luck on it

It varies depending on demographic.

A gay male popufur couple with lots of talents and fans and things I want... gets me so upset that I can't describe it on here.
