Bushido: Seikatsu

The year is 1600, Edo Period of Japan. You all live in the fictional province of Yakuwari. Four regions span across this luscious and beautiful land.


The first region is Umi. This region is the main hub for all types of folk, towards the sea is the main city port known as Sakana, here you can find people fishing and trading. It's the main trading hub I suppose. Nothing really fishy happens here other than illegal trades and what not. But life is normal here.


The second region is Ken. This region is home to the Shogun and Samurai. It's a military outpost like area where extensive training and drills are preformed. There is a town located in Ken known as Meiyo but it's populated by the scum of the earth. Walking outside at night could surely end up with you getting robbed or even worse. Murdered.


The third region is Shinrin. This region houses the largest bamboo forest in Japan and the largest mountains. This region is home to farmers and is crowded with rice fields, bamboo farms and many other types of farming. You won't find much action here.


The final region is Yoru. This region is where the castles are located. The poor and famished are not allowed here. If they are caught they would be punished. Shogun and Samurai are allowed here though.




Be warned though... Heading outside at night could lead to some... Encounters. This RP is supposed to be everything Japan, so the legends of the Oni and the Enenra are all things in this world. Be warned...

Magic is allowed, keep it themed with the RP and universe.
More than one character is allowed.
You can be feral or anthro I don't care.
You may kill another played, just discuss it with the other player first.
You may be whatever you want. A Samurai, a fisher, a God, a farmer. Whatever I don't care.

Name: Rayleonarde "Ray" Blackburn

Clothing/Armor: Simple clothing, enough to blend in.
Weapon: A flintlock pistol (normally hidden), a simple ninjato.
Magic: None
Extra: Barely knows how to use his sword, and can hardly speak Japanese.
Bio: Ray came in on one of the rare English trading ships allowed to Japan. He was able to, through stopping a heinous murder, secure a citizenship of sorts. Always under watch by officials, Ray does his best to blend in. He speaks Japanese poorly, so normally remains silent. Ray's also forced to live in the Ken region, as the Shogunate is constantly worried he would spread western ideologies.

Clothing/Armor: A white hakamashita, a black hakama, a white haori with a blue pattern depicting the ocean and a blue kakuobi
Weapon: a katana and wakizashi (worn in daisho) with brown/brass Buddha furniture and a brown saya with gold leaf. Also carries a jō which is used as a walking stick
Magic: Swords are said to have been made by the legendary sword-smith Masamune. It is said that these swords never dull, can cut though the darkest evil and fend off the most notorious of demons.
Extra: Clothing is emblazoned with a dragonfly mon
Bio: Perry's samurai heritage is strong. Starting the warrior pilgrimage at the age of 16, he set about to improve his swordsmanship across Japan and eventually found himself in a few wars along the way. At first he relished in taking the lives of others, but since the battle of Sekigahara, has found solitude in the way of Buddha and the perseverance of life. He spends most of his time travelling between temples and engaging in matters of spiritual importance. He is still quite young in the long scope and was once revered for his skill in battle and stratagy, but has fallen off the map, presumed dead.

Species: Tree Folk. ((Think of a human sized tree man.))
Anthro or feral: Anthro


Clothing: Only a few vines that grew on his body. Some with budding flowers.


Weapon's: He has a quarter staff made from bamboo and cord.


Magic: He has spiritual conncection to the earth like that of a western Druid. Which allows him to do slight changes to the earth, as to himself in forms of healing to better crop growth. ((If you would like a better list or guide line I'll be sure to edit this.))


Extra: He has a pet feral viper named Yuki.


Bio: He is a sprit of the woodlands that rose with the mind set to bring peace and love to those who respect the spirits of the land. Though the curious mindeset of learning the ways of the anthros left him earning to learn there ways in hopes to better protect his homelands. And has gathered much knowledge and wisdom in his long life. Though prefers to keep out of others way being that he is a rather odd sight indeed.

Ray woke up to the clanking of weapons and armor, which he knew all too well. The local retainers were sent to accompany him to his own bath house (which was little more than a shack built beside the actual bath house). The raccoon groaned, stood up, and grabbed his clothes and equipment. Though he lived miserably, Ray loved the Japanese culture. He even kept a journal of various aspects of the peoples lives, accompanied by sketches and notes. As he walked along within the ring of retainers, Ray kept his tail wrapped around his waist, obscuring the woolen briefs he wore. As he stepped into the bath house, he found himself getting a splinter from the door, but said nothing about it to the retainers, as they seemed to barely care about him. Ray was actually quite impressed, the last Englishman that snuck into Japan was instantly put to death with no trial, but yet after he saved that little old woman at the dock, he was allowed to stay.

Perry liked walking along the quiet, morning roads. He had, by chance, been travelling towards the Ken region to pay visit to the great mountain temple that found itself up one of the valleys. It had been a while since that he'd been there and he had fond memories of watching the cherry blossoms fall into the river that ran around the temple.


He stopped to examine the sun rise over a tranquil pond that lay next to the road. A cool air blew past him from behind, rustling his feathers and pushing him in the right direction.
"the kami are with me today" Perry thought to himself, stomping the ground with his staff. He didn't think anything could go wrong today, so long as his swords and the kami were with him.


Perry continued onwards. The path was set and he should be there by sundown.

[The Past]

Species: Black bear
Feral or Anthro: Anthro
Clothing/Armor: peasant clothes, various disguises, a dark blue outfit for certain stealth missions.
Weapon: dagger, shuriken, various simple tools depending on the mission.
Magic: Bends surrounding forces mainly to aid in espionage, such as invisibility, silencing, scaling walls and ceilings, boosting jump and easing landing, a "force punch" like a strong gust of wind, and even moving light objects from a reasonable distance. These abilities require a mind at ease and take lots of energy, so it must be used sparingly. As a novice, he is easily tired from magic use.
Extra: He likes to draw in his off-time.
Bio: Similar to a ninja but not quite, Jefuri is a novice tracker and assassin of troublesome mages and supernatural beings. He's an impoverished loner brought into his clan by the leader who happens to be an old friend, and with nothing better to do, he reluctantly accepted the job. Despite his training, he's still not too confident in his abilities. At least he tries.

   Sum Yung Gai, was up in the morning to enjoy the fresh and wonderful feeling of the sun on his beard made from leaves and stayed to move his stiff legs and arms. Taking some nice and calming breaths he looked around to see if anything happened. To his relief all seems to be well and he picked up Yuki while having her wrap around his neck or arm. Beginning to move out of some small forest, looking beyond to think about how the local towns farm has been doing and where should he travel too.

Clothing/Armor: This, a red sash runs along his chest. It looks torn and ragged like it has been worn for years.
Weapon: A long samurai sword with the a strange demonic being etched into it
Bio: Akuma is a demon from the pits of hell itself, being resurrected from the battleground of Sekigahara. He now roams the world looking for nothing but war and death.

Perry looked into the distance along his path.
He felt he would cross many new people today.

The soon turned to night, and as night feel... They came out, Akuma sat in the middle of the trail. His eyes glowed red and his skin was cold and gray.


He sat cross legged, tapping his foot against the dirt, his blade sat in his lap. *Shrink* *Shrink* The sounds of the blade being sharpened echoed through the forest and night.

Ray, whose retainers left to be with their families, was left to walk home alone. He looked extremely out of place, constantly watching his back. Watching his back so much so that he yelped when he spotted someone sharpening a sword in the path ahead of him. Ray stopped and spoke, with both fear and a smile. "O-Oh! H-Hello!"

   Sum Yung Gai, was moving with grace in the forest as the underbrush didn't bother him at all but stopped to listen as the sound of a blade being sharper was more then discomforting as very few warriors come out this time of night, many as a way to travel. But he slowled his pace making his was to the noise while keeping his snake in shush. Being that a walking tree isn't something most furs take to lightly and wanted to keep his distance.
