I have been schooled. Tablets are fudge-like things of Scotland. But not really.
Basically I would describe them as being dried-out fudge.
See, the description of Wikipedia says:
"Tablet differs from fudge in that it has a brittle, grainy texture, where fudge is much softer. Well-made tablet is a medium-hard confection, not as soft as fudge, but not as hard as hard candy."

I now understand the difference between tablet and fudge.  Also, that mass-produced tablet often uses fondant instead of condensed milk.


And yet still here I sit with no fudge and no tablet.


I guess I'll just have to make do with sucre à la crème, tableta de leche and borstplaat.
