i would get discouraged vary often and drew vary infrequently, only now am i actually feeling like i dont have to burn all my work lol.

yeah a lot of it is learning how to do stuff and trying to not get upset by seeing other artists that you think of as better because they get more attention for their art or they do a style that you really wish to emulate. In my case i thought all art had to be realistic to be good until i became around 15 and realized that realism isn't the be all end all of art and started to take on the style i have now. Even after all the changing your art does you always see changes when you look back because you start learning different ways to draw things like if I even look back a year i cringe a bit at how I drew faces. I think you really just gotta draw what you want and understand that no one is born with a skill.

As most requests take 30-min to about two hours depending on if is full body or not or has a background i will do one more today and open the slate to five more the next time I have free time to draw.
