What's going on?
« on: June 22, 2016, 01:49:07 AM »
Hey, It's me once again who asks for your wise advice.
Some might be able to help me, some might not. But I take any advice for granted.

What's the problem that I have now? Honestly: I don't know.
I have a weird situation going, my explenation might sound chaotic but I guess that's how things are:
I feel like I am going to explode from all the energy I have, I have to do something and sometimes I just want to shout
On the other hand I postpone and procrastinate so many things that I even shoot myself in the foot.
Most of the time I am happy but I almost always just feel that I am going to break-down and cry.
Also I feel tired as hell.

To keep things short: I am feeling like an unguided missile.
So, what is going on and what advice do you guys have?

This'll no doubt be the worst advice you probably receive, but if you can find something addicting like a video game, conversation, new book, anything, you can distract yourself from the turmoil inside. Until you can pinpoint what it is that's irritating you so, just do something free, that you want to do. Set a goal for yourself each day or each week, and try to reach it.

Half the time I'm the same way so I feel you

Ravens advice isn't actually so bad, you might want to try it

The problem is that I've been using this tactic for a while, and it doesn't really help that much. In fact: it doesnt help.
But thanks for the advice  :)

It doesn't help me either, but it works for other people sometimes.

Bricket, In my opinion you need to find a way to release this energy. But it seems distracting yourself doesn't work. My advice is go try somthing new, somthing fun. Something to release all this chaos you have built inside yourself.

You could go to a concert, ride a horse, go to a shooting range, rock climbing, visit a theme park, somthing. Take a friend with you. Get your mind off of whatever is bothering you and go have some fun. It doesn't have to be anything crazy or expensive. But you should release your energy in a positive way by doing something you enjoy and find fulfilling.

It might be good for you  ^_^

I kind of understand how you feel. Happy but also sad. I don't know about you, but I think in my case I've been depressed in the past and I've never really told anyone about it (Excluding online) . Due to that I think, I can feel happy when I'm around people, but yet also kind of sad. Kind of like yay I'm hanging out with my friend, but also, I can't tell you the thing that's really on my mind. Also there's the feeling that I'm totally not in synch with friends. Like my friends love street Fighter, and I hate Street Fighter. I love Blazblue on the other hand and my friend would play it for a minute before getting bored. Because of these differences, one might feel alone a bit. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

Also maybe you're just bored, when you say you're full of energy but tired and you also procrastinate often. The way I deal with this, is by having constant breaks between work. So when I draw, (It's enjoyable but also lots of work and tiring due to the amount of concentration required.) I would often draw until I get tired. Take a break as long as I've been working. Then work. Then take a break. So I would draw for an hour, then break for an hour. (Don't be afraid to work for shorter periods of time, like 5 or ten minutes. Just make sure you get back to it in about ten minutes, since five minutes is rather a short break.)   Also another way to feel like doing things is doing a physical activity sometime during the day. Like skating or taking a long walk. Once you get your body moving, it's a little easier to get to work. (Or at least it is for me.)

welcome to my life, its hard too stop postponing and procrastinating but i found 2 solutions:
1. thourgh enough will and will power you can do anything, might sound silly or dumb but thats how i do many things.
2. meditation, it helps relax and get things straight.  and for me, it stops the need to postpone stuff, just sitting and meditating for 3 minutes.
sadly its very hard to train youself to have more will power or find a person to teach you how to meditate.
