Drake helped Amie into the main foyer and called out, "Doctor Fay, are you still here?"
Kyle looked over to Fawn. "He would. It'd be like him raising Raz as though he were his own child; he's already got twins on the way, apparently." Kyle heaved a worried sigh. "But whether Drake can handle Raz is not what concerns me as much..." His face portrayed melancholy.

A greeter droid approached the two blue tigers. "Greetings! I am 24-O1, at your service! Welcome to Dragon'taan! May I be of service?"

"Krystal sent them, hon," Viktor clarified to Kabier.
"Oh! Okay, sorry - have to be a little suspicious around people I haven't met before - Tyber doesn't really react well to them," Kabier told them before she gave her son another spoonful of food.
"Seems he has his mind occupied, at the moment," Viktor chuckled. "I get the feeling that, when that kid gets older, he's gonna look a lot like me."
"And be a lot like you, darling," Kabier jested.

Ketorr and Lian sat on the stools next to the bar counter in their home, slowly sipping on cola. "Daddy, what do you think mom has in store for this 'surprise'?" Lian asked.
"Your guess is as good as mine, sweetie," Ketorr answered. "Your mother has always been... difficult to predict. I gave up trying to years ago."

"Well, if you need extra hands, just call me," Markus suggested. "Voro and I have our own suspicions as to how this ship got here undetected. Why they de-cloaked is another matter."

Kyle kept trekking for the temple in the distance, evading groups of patrolling battle droids, where he made an interesting observation: When the droids spoke, they seemed largely independent thinkers, but they spoke a dialect Kyle thought to be no longer spoken - Rakatan. CIS Battle Droids speaking ancient Rakatan? It didn't make sense. Still, he kept moving for the temple, and when he and Gypsie stood at the bottom of the temple steps, they were faced with another mystery: There was no cover anywhere, and the droids that had been patrolling outside were nonexistent here. Given they were in the open, Kyle would have expected the droids to rush them, guns blazing. So where the hell were they? Just another mystery to add to his growing supply.
"Vasily to the Chimera, is that dampening field still up?" Kyle hailed his ship.
"Response: Yes, master - and the temple you stand at is putting out a transporter inhibitor field. You'd have to leave the area for us to beam you and Gypsie back aboard," responded Hector.
Kyle cursed under his breath. "That means that unless we shut that field off, we'll have to come back out here and make the trek back to the LZ before we can leave..." he thought momentarily. "CIS droids speaking Rakatan... lack of any significant presence here at this temple... transporter inhibitor field... and a vision that suggests we must take something from it and leave... something I would find familiar..." he sighed wearily and shouldered his rifle. "Something sure the hell ain't right, here..." he started up the steps to the temple.

"You're telling me," Benny chuckled. "I voted to call this place Outpost Valkyrie." He indicated a nearby doorway. "Bar's down that way - if our Tal Shiar guy keeps to his usual quirks, he'll be there; regardless, I imagine you're hungry or thirsty... or both."

Commander Khev remained quiet over the line as she went through the files on Admiral Arai. After what seemed like hours, and when they had six minutes before arrival at New Romulus, Khev spoke: "Captain, I just got a dispatch from New Romulus Command - Predident D'Tan wishes to speak with you. He says it's urgent."
*** Tomahawk Orbit ***
The ISC, Mirak and Lyran ships all took up defensive positions with the UNSC Fleet, and began deploying defensive stations of their own. On the Toma-Guards' sensors, an unidentified blip would appear, on an apparent trajectory to Tomahawk. It was consistent with several large cube-shaped vessels and multiple other geometrically-shaped vessels, all of whom emitting transwarp signatures and heavy energy activity.
At first glance, this would appear to be an invasion fleet, but whose fleet was not clear.
