Katana and karambit, can be understandable, but, the scythe... Well, it's pretty hard to use and hit by itself, because, it wasn't mean for fighting, but farming.

That's why the hallberd was created.

Eli, I'll have to contest what you said earlier. Longswords are "fast " for the same reason bos are fast. They have 2 sides to hit with (they're obviously seperated differently), but I think Rapiers are the fastest and most responsive because of their relative light weight and balance in the hand.
