Yeah :( my great uncle served in WW2, he was flying from Australia to New Gunea and never came home. I've never gotten emotional until last year, it really hit me hard when i realized why he was fighting and what he was fighting for...

My cousin served as lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps during operation Iraqi freedom. He served three tours. On his third tour an IED exploded that flipped their humvee and he died. His passing took a toll on my family

my great, great grandfather joined the New Zealand Army and was shipped to Egypt, he went missing in action, me and my dad tried to find out more about him.... we still don't know if he died in combat or if the boat he was on was sunk.... still, very sad.....

cool fact about my great great grandfather, he went on an expedition with Sir Robert Falcon Scott to the Antarctic, this was their first expedition in the 1910s , not to be mistaken with scotts later expedition where he died....

Call me Kit :) grieving is always hard for me because it makes my shifts unpredictable and uncontrolled. My family doesn't know that I'm therian/otherkin (I prefer to keep it that way for my own sake) so alot of today is going to be me kept in isolation
