i'd have to see a picture of you to say anything, but  the only thing I can see happening is people laughing at your accent America was a former British colony, back alooong time ago. The only advise i can give you is watch out for the  non-Caucasians... you might be a little wiereded out by the variety of people here, their generally nice though.

Considering  our reactions to some other peopel from diffrent countries I'm pretty sure the Brits are the most accepted. Like I said though you might get a couple teases on your accent,but don't worry about it.
