I feel the same way about the characters of Undertale.

Undertale is a game though. I usually do the nice things in games but if I said "yo ima kill everyone" I would. The story is something else though. I had plans to kill *forgot his name again damn you brain* but when writing about him I was more and more sad. So I just infected and then cured him.

But Ibi... The only true mercy in Undertale is to end it all.

I felt dirty just WATCHING a genocide run...  I felt horrible at the very end...

Didn't play it, even though the story feels amazing and all I didnt really like the combat/appealing or however you wanna call it stuff.

I did pacifist and neutral. Can't bring myself to kill anything.
Though I have tried the Sans battle on someone else's copy. I had a bad time.

I've done a genocide-based fan game and that nearly made me cry.
And, when I say that it nearly did, I mean the soundtrack on YouTube was enough to bring a tear to my eye.
