That depends on the state to, in minnesota if you feel theres a valid threat to your life you can put him down and keep him there. This is why theres a gun under my seat at all times

I dont have my gun in my car but I'm assuming I punctured a lung and broke atleast three ribs on each side. So yeah... I also live in Georgia so I'm not 100% sure on the law side. But the guy was armed with a knife and possibly more. :/

Alright, he was armed, so you are protected even more. Just make sure you clearly explain the situation to the police.
