When the world was created it was made from Ma'at- that is order. Before then was nun- that is primordial chaos. Bastet is one face of sekhm- that is the force of the sun God Ra. Without the Sun there's no Ma'at. There are other faces of Sekhm- Sekhmt being the most notable that is the other half of Bastet. Nun and Ma'at are often at odds with one another. Sekhm is what gives us life but it can also be a destructive force. It is passion it is lifegiving it is fire it is in a sense life.

My job is a priest is to leave offerings to Bastet and to honor and embody this force.

They who cannot hex cannot heal. Im all about balance. Sekhm can be used to create and destroy. Destroying can be good at times. Like you could curse that is use destructive magick against insecurities you have. A lot of healing magick is destructive magick. How can you treat an illness without destroying it? You can also create and be gentle and do harm. Like if I were to cause you to have strong happiness nothing could break that's creative magick but other emotions have lessons and you wouldn't be able to grieve after a friend's death.

Crawling over to the table, I cautiously look around, my ears folded as I try to avoid being seen. I then reach for one of the snacks and wolf it down, my eyes lit up like a Christmas tree as I flop onto my bottom while comprehending how good it tastes.

It is an instrument often used in religious rituals and brings healing and protection. It can also bring deities to a person but imma play it with the idea of bringing everyone peace and comfort here. No deities involved in case some folk here are uncomfortable with bringing one here...
