The Snack Den

*as ? rest - the younger Vees enjoying some play time*
*our mother Val with Sherrie's and with Flower's help - help Val go to the Flower garden, and visit Sylvee and !, even giving ! a patting on back of the head tuft*


*then help her explore the garden a bit more - then help her get back to den, where she took another few naps while watching her favorite shows*


*in kitchen*
*Aycan is having such a fun time learning how to make pasta from flour, yeast, water, eggs - the fun long way, Arval has experienced as he helped out many times, along with Firox, all three made lots of spaghetti noodles for everyone, surprised how all turned out good sized*
*as Vay, Iordan, Zoran, and myself, we pick the freshest and ripest of ingredients for the marinara sauce, nothing canned, all picked from the garden, thanks to Vay living in Italy for almost 8 years knows how to make the perfect marinara sauce just by taste, is teaching us how to make it, unlike Vay, we use measuring cups, Vay can tell by taste and look... leaves us for a while as she sets up the grinder for the incoming meat*
*after sauce and pasta ready*
 
*Grace, Jyo, and Joseph all arrive with thick chunks of meat, they put the chips and soda away for now, and along with Vay's help, they cut the meat into smaller chunks that will fit the grinder and Vay teaches them how to safely use the grinder, and mix flavoring for the grinder*
* Grace, Jyo, Joseph, Vay, Firox, Aycan, and Arval all join in and take turns - one on the top of the grinder, another on the bottom - the meat that comes out the ones not grinding formed them into meatball shapes - we do 7 turns so all get a chance to use the grinder*


*about an hour after*
*pasta formed*
*marinara sauce ready, and slowly simmering - we made two batches - one to simmer and cook the meatballs, and for the pasta*
*after the meatballs formed, Firox adds them all to pans and let them simmer and cook in marinara sauce*


*Grace, Joseph, Firox, and Jyo, all work together shredding the Parmesan cheese wheel for the pasta*
*Iordan and Zoran head to the bakery to grab bread dough for the garlic bread - and with my help, we make a tasty garlic basil topping for the bread*


*about two hours later, all of us working together*
*we need the last three steps - bake the bread*
*cook the pasta, which doesn't take long - form the spaghetti*


*and the final most super duper important part, where we need everyone in the den, even ?'s help - that super duper important part - to eat the food*

*yawns and relaxes*

*I do something a bit different*


*I set ?'s spaghetti and meatballs plate a Vee's paw length away, I lightly wave my tail behind plate, so the smell of fresh food fills the ?'s nose - I know that strong nose will pick up the scent and belly will tell paws to leap forward and for maw to start nibbling*


*I lightly wave tail so scent blows towards ? - not to make food cold*
*I giggle cutely*

*I smile*
"No worries, it was for you, Bay come give drink"
*Vay* "fruit punch? mango juice? star fruit juice? 9r lemonade?"


*while ? picks juice of choice, I pass two slices of garlic bread*


*then I check on rest*

*happily keeps enjoying the food n juice*

*the snack battlers even let the ? enjoy the meal, all are sitting across from ?, where it can see them, all are busy nomming*


*about an hour later*
*Vay refilling ?'s juice one or twice*
*? can see that*
*eight smaller Vees are drinking juice*
*Joseph, Arval, Firox, and Jyo are drinking soda*
*Zoran and Iordan are drinking mango juice*
*rest of the other evolved Vees drinking coffee*


*soon dessert cookies are made*
*Grace and Iordan take a break from nomming, and add vanilla ice cream to one set of cookies, and place the second on top, forming them into ice cream sandwiches*
*Grace to all* "dessert ready"




*as ? gets passed an ice cream sandwich ..... Joseph suddenly leaps from the side at top speed and snatches the cookie sandwich, turns around and nibbles the sandwich in front of ?*

*giggles n just pushes a bit*

*I giggle giving that Joseph nose a little tap with my tail, and pass the ? a second ice cream sandwich*
"one to enjoy"
*I pick up the empty plate where the spaghetti was*

*happily noms it while watching others*

*next up two of the 'winning Vees' challenge the Joseph with some board games* "will the Jolty win, or not... howz about a rematch?"


*Joseph nibbles the ice cream sandwich*
"your on"
*first off chess, all the pieces already set up, so ? can watch, Val can watch, and having Grace and Iordan filming for proof once Joseph loses as usual*   
*Jospeh even wins a coin toss to see who gets to start match*


*the first half of the game - Joseph seems to be doing good, captured two more pieces than Denis, only the beginning of the lost for the Jolty*     *I'm sure both don't know that yet*

*jumps on their board*

*both giggle* "lucky Jolty"
*Joseph tries to push ? off, good thing for the ones filming, so they can re set the pieces later.... instead start a new game... when ? leaped Joseph was down by four pieces*   


"thanks ?, was about to lose"

*pushes jolt's nose around*

*for now they bring the board up so Val can have a turn with Denis as Tony joins in, each taking a turn*




*Joseph tries to push ? into the blanketed floor by slamming face onto it*
