My middle name is Michael. For a non-religious couple, my parents sure didn't rebuke the religious undertones to my name. Nicholas Michael, both names given to me for saint Nicholas and the archangel Michael, respectively, as suggested by my grandmother. Funnier still is that the names are held by a non religious person as well, yet I still accept and embrace them having religious sentiment to them.
Both of my parents were supreme edgelords when I was born, too, still getting out of the Goth scene. Maybe that explains things more than draws them into question.
