My device only has a camera on the front so its  hard to take pictures, anyway I can turn it around and take a good picture that isn't a selfie?

I don't see why not.
It might be tricky to get the composition right as the screen might be a bit tricky to look at like so. Perhaps if you hold it up over your head you should be able to look up at the screen and get the framing right?
